Ayers Rock Resort & Mossman Gorge Centre training and employment opportunities
Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia are a wholly owned subsidiary of the Indigenous Land Corporation (ILC) and manage tourism and resorts on their behalf. We have a strong commitment to social responsibility, and all profits from our business activities go towards supporting Indigenous training and employment across Australia. Voyages offers experience-based holidays in Ayers Rock Resort (our largest facility with 4 hotels and a campsite), Home Valley Station in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, and tourism facilities at Mossman Gorge Centre in Tropical Queensland. In addition, we have a corporate office based in Sydney CBD, which is where I am based.
We are committed to building and sustaining an Indigenous workforce through attracting the right talent, enabling secure employment and developing careers within the hospitality industry.
I would appreciate if you could promote our current and ongoing employment opportunities across your network to attract applicants seeking pathways into rewarding hospitality careers. I have attached two flyers that advertise our full time Direct Hire opportunities and our 12 month Traineeship opportunities at Ayers Rock Resort. Applicants who are registered with a jobactive (JA) or community development program (CDP) provider may be invited to attend a one week program at the resort prior to experience living and working in Yulara prior to commencement. There are no closing dates for these applications as we have several intakes scheduled throughout the year.
In addition, we have just launched our Pathway to Cookery Program, which is a 9 week residential-based training course at Mossman Gorge Centre designed to provide jobseekers with the skills and knowledge to prepare them for full time employment or transition into a traineeship at Ayers Rock Resort or elsewhere within the hospitality and tourism industry. Participants will gain a Certificate II in Kitchen Operations. Please see attached flyer for further information. The closing date for this program, part-funded by QLD Government’s ‘Skilling Queenslanders for Work’ project, is 05/04/18. Limited spaces are available so we encourage anyone interested in this program to get in touch soon.
All current job vacancies can be found via our Careers Website. People interested in applying can simply follow the instructions given on the flyers attached or apply online.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you in advance for sharing this information.
