Mandandanji works hard to make sure that the businesses and Limited are viable entities. As approved by members at last year’s AGM, the ‘sale’ of Mandandanji Enterprise to MCHS is now complete; this reduces the operating costs of the businesses. Mandandanji has also secured a vegetation management contract (Roma) with SANTOS. At this stage it is a 3 month trial but the board is hopeful this will becomes more permanent work and opportunity for Mandandanji people. Mandandanji are currently preparing grant applications for the Gambling Fund (History boards at the Roma Parklands) and the Indigenous Land and Sea Program (CH Investigations), both of these will be lodged before the end of August for projects to start in 2018 if the applications are approved.
