In 2016 the Mandandanji Board supported the development of this Festival as part of the Easter in the Country program in Roma. This was the second year the board, staff and volunteers worked to bring together this event. With over $5000 in donations and in kind funding support and volunteers including Architecture Students from Newcastle (www.thegrandsection.com) Bobbie and Owen, an amazing program of dance, music, arts and crafts and bush tucker was presented.
Mandandanji also joined in the parade on Saturday, and were among the first few floats. This festival continues to grow and it’s hoped that in visitors to Roma will again experience Mandandanji hospitality and culture as the Dreaming Festival grows.
