Biodiversity Australia is an Indigenous owned, leading Australian Environmental Management Consulting Business focused on building sustainable partners, economic management and ecological balance.

Our head office is located on the Gold Coast with regional offices in Chinchilla, Port Macquarie, North Queensland, South Australia and Northern Territory.

Biodiversity Australia is searching for full time vegetation team members who will be responsible for the on ground works within a new exciting project within the Surat Basin. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, weed control, herbicide application, weed identification, daily reporting and site assessment. The person will have experience on sites with a high safety standard and brings great safety culture with them.

Skills and Requirements:

This vegetation team member will need to possess the following certifications

  • Construction Safety Card (White Card) is essential;
  • Manual Drivers Licence;
  • ACDC licence or equivalent desirable;
  • Chainsaw licence desirable; and
  • Experience in tasks listed below

Roles and Responsibilities:

Vegetation Tractor staff will be required to accomplish the following tasks:

  • Tractor operation
  • Tractor maintenance
  • Quikspray herbicide application
  • Backpack herbicide application
  • Manual weed control
  • Use of vegetation management tools such as brush cutters and chainsaws
  • Weed identification
  • Daily reporting
  • Upholding companies safety culture and standards
