Maranoa Regional Council is calling for all community and not-for-profit groups (residing in the Maranoa region) to apply for funding under the Community Grants Program Round 3.
The funding round is open from Thursday, 1 August 2019 and groups have until Monday, 30 September 2019 to submit their applications.
The three grant categories are: • Small Grant (co-funded by Senex) – $500 – $3,000 • Community Grant – $3,001 – $10,000 • Major Grant – $10,001 – $20,000
Scott Hilton, member of the Roma Cricket Club, who were successful applicants in the last round of funding, said their grant money is being used to replace two lights on the eastern part of Gallas Fox Park.
“Massive thank you to Maranoa Regional Council for our successful application. This is great for Roma District Cricket, as it allows us to play more games under lights in the evening when its cooler,” said Mr Hilton.
“This grant will benefit 3 organisations who use these grounds, not just one.”
Councillor Cameron O’Neil, Portfolio Chair for Economic Development said the Community Grants Program supports a large variety of projects throughout the Maranoa.
“Council encourages every community and not-for-profit group (residing in the Maranoa region) to apply for a community grant today,” Cr O’Neil said.
“Guidelines and application forms are available on Council’s website www.maranoa.qld.gov.au/services/grants.”
