On behalf of the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), I would like to invite you to the Regional Queensland Road Safety Community Event in Roma on Wednesday 28 August 2019.
The event is being held as part of a Queensland Road Safety Week 2019 (26 – 30 August), supporting this years theme of regional and remote road safety, and will focus on road safety matters relevant to Roma residents and visitors, and across south-western Queensland communities.
Throughout the year, TMR has engaged with stakeholders across Metropolitan and Regional areas to gather feedback about key road safety issues across Queensland, which will be used to shape the next Queensland Road Safety Action Plan.
We are also developing the next Queensland Road Safety Strategy, and are asking regional communities to join the conversation and share your perspective about road safety.
In particular, we’d like to hear your insights about potential challenges and opportunities to ensure safe travel for everyone in your local area and wider region over the coming years.
Please stop in and join us to share your views about regional road safety.
