Upcoming opportunities for Indigenous people with our Shell QGC Traineeship Pathway Program being run by Harness Energy.
This program is looking to give Indigenous candidates a pathway program through a Certificate 3 in Workplace Health & Safety to best position them for success in the Shell Apprenticeship Intake at the end of year.
The program is in conjunction with Shell QGC’s operational footprint with the Indigenous Traditional Owners invited to nominate their people to potentially participate in the Traineeship Pathway Program.
Harness have employed a full-time Indigenous Mentor Mr Peter Jackson that will be working with the participants throughout the entire program focusing on training, life skills, soft skills, addressing the barriers and many other elements to give the candidates the best opportunity to be successful.
Peter has joined the Harness Energy Team and is also the Chairman of the South West Indigenous Network (SWIN), Peter commences his new role on the 3rd February with Harness Energy.

The Indigenous Apprenticeship & Traineeship Pathway Program is managed by Harness Energy, a specialist provider of trained labour as well as safety and induction training specific to the Oil & Gas sector, with over 700 clients utilising our services.
About the Program
The Indigenous Apprenticeship & Traineeship Pathway Program is a 9-month paid work experience traineeship program for enthusiastic individuals from regional Queensland. As a Workplace Health and Safety Trainee, individuals will work alongside tradespeople in up to 4 trades: Electrical, Manufacturing, Warehousing, and Process Operations.
This role has the potential to create further opportunity to begin your career in the CSG sector with the possibility of an apprenticeship or traineeship for successful candidates.
